Elizabeth Ruth Loving

Elizabeth Ruth Loving was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, IL. She currently resides in Aurora, IL, a western suburb of Chicago. She is a dedicated mom and servant of God who chooses to use her gifts and talents to:

ENLIGHTEN YOU  to move daily intentionally, unapologetically, and wholeheartedly toward a life with God so that you BECOME who He has destined you to be and ON TIME.

Elizabeth, or ERL, has been writing and reciting poetry at church, school, and community events since the age of nine.  She self-published her first spiritual poetry book in 2006, "True Songs of Good Struggle" and her newest release, an autobiographical book, "Sanctified Satan" in August 2020. She won 2nd place in a poetry contest in April 2022 after not having spoken on stage in over 10 years.

ERL also writes and performs a combination of different styles of music using her stage name "Ms. Ife"  which translates to "Ms. Loving" from the Yoruba language. She's especially known by her signature long red dreadlocks that hang near her waist. Her naturalness is adored by many here and abroad.

Her unique styles of dress and contagious energy compliments her sultry voice that rings love, soul, confidence accompanied by her constant smile.  Her slick wordplay is always witty, informative, motivational, real, and spiritually-influenced. The styles of music she composes include gospel rap, hip-hop, afrobeats, reggae, and R&B. She plans to release her very first EP in 2025 entitled "African & American" where she proudly explores, reintroduces, and shares her African and American cultures, histories and experiences. ERL embraced the art of dance and acting early in her childhood. She was was featured in many short films/stage plays and enjoyed print and runway modeling during her college years at Chicago State University. She took dance classes (ballet and African) at CSU which would later be used for dance ministries at churches in Chicago, Dekalb, and Aurora, IL. She's appeared as an extra on the Chicago-based sitcoms "Chi" twice (Season 3, 2019) and once on "South Side" (Season 3, 2022). 

ERL established her 501c3 non-profit,  "Bucket of Love",  in 2018, where she serves as the Executive Director and Dance Teacher,  www.bucketoflove.org. Bucket of Love offers mentorship, dance, and educational opportunities for youth ages 5-17. Bucket of Love received the 2020 "Service Above Self" award from Aurora, IL's Mayor Irvin.

She obtained her Cosmetology License in 2008 and has worked in very diverse salons in downtown Chicago and suburbs for over ten years, specializing in natural hair, color, and haircuts for men, women, and children. She often donates free haircuts/styles throughout the year during Bucket of Love's and other local organizations' community events.

Elizabeth obtained an Associates in Science from Kishwaukee Community College and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Special Education from Northern Illinois University, Magna Cum Laude, maintaining a 3.9+ G.P.A and frequently made the Dean's List. She was inducted into NIU's John Herik Clarke's Honors Society, where people of African descent are celebrated and educated about African and African American history.

Currently Elizabeth works full-time as a Special Education Teacher in a SLC (Structured Learning Classroom) at Gates Elementary in Aurora School District 131.  When she's not teaching academics, she's teaching dance to underserved youth in the Greater Aurora areas and meeting the communities' needs during Bucket of Love's yearly outreach events (toy drive, food giveaways, free haircuts/styles).

Elizabeth has plans to open up  Bucket of Love School of Arts & Spirituality,  where elementary/middle-school aged children (general and special education) can explore academics, Fine Arts, and God. In the interim, she continues to work steadfast crossing out things on her "God-given" to-do-list, travels the world, and embraces priceless moments of love with family and friends.
